Self-Introduction

Spirit Calligrapher

Express gratitude to the important people in your life with a present of your thoughts written in calligraphy!

I would be happy to write for you, with all my heart.

Spirits dwell within words

Spirits live inside letters

Pleasant words

Cheerful words

Words of hope

When we say or read such words,

we can enjoy our lives.

Such words spread smiles to everyone,

just like ripples on the water.

Story

From my thirties, I started doing Shodo, Japanese calligraphy. While working at my family’s Japanese archery shop, I would write characters on the Kyudo equipment.

In 1990, I acquired a qualification as a Shodo instructor, and I became a supervisor of a Shodo classroom.

While teaching Shodo, I started to come across students from all walks of life, some of whom would ask me for advice. This led me to start learning about self-improvement and the philosophy of success.

Now, I am active as a Soul-Word Calligrapher.

I freely use traditional brush techniques to write gentle yet powerful words.

I continue to spread the spirit of these words in "kotodama", or messages that I call Soul Words.

Through Shodo, I express words that touch the heart. By creating many works, even if it’s just one more person, I hope to make someone smile.

Both within and beyond Japan, I present my works through the mediums of books, postcards, cardboard plaques, calendars, framed pictures, and shop signs. All of them feature words of the soul. I am active in a wide variety of areas.

In addition, I hold exhibits around the world, and I perform in Shodo shows. I will continue to challenge myself to spread the Japanese cultural tradition of Shodo, around the globe.
